All About Me Salon & Spa

When I first when into All About Me, I was really nervous and intimidated. Coming from my hometown, which was previously New York, most salons had an extremely high rating so this was a new experience for me. I made an appointment with a stylist named Maryam, she was extremely friendly from the start and made me feel so comfortable. I continued by telling her the look I was going for and the cut and color I had in mind. She said she knew what I wanted so I went with it. The end result was unbelievable! She did exactly what I wanted and more! It exceeded my highest expectations. Amazing haircut, amazing color and highlights! I am so satisfied and pleased. I wont go to anybody else besides Maryam! Wow what a great place. I have a good friend who suggested Jenna and after reading the reviews I though I needed to give her a chance. \r She blew me away. I never had anyone give me a razor cut befor and it mad a big difference. It gave my hair movement with lots of volume. It looks so edgy now.\r The salon it cute, comfortable & relaxing. I went for a facial and a scalp massage yesterday with Alison Krysiak and she is the best!! She really took her time and is very knowledgeable about different skin types. The only complain I have is that the spa needs to update their website since they raised prices for a few items. Alison Krysiak has been doing my waxing and giving me facials for over 2 years now...her waxing skills are exemplary and she is the only Esthetician I will go to at All About Me...I have received quite a few facials from her and they have been extremely relaxing and rejuvenating...if you are going to look for an experienced highly qualified professional - I would recommend that you seek out Alison for all of your esthetic needs...I do not make appointments with anyone else at the salon except for Alison for waxing and facials - and - if she does not have an appointment available on the day I would like - I will wait and find time in my schedule for another day...enjoy all of the wonderful treats and surprises that await you when you go to All About Me and have an experience you will never forget! If it's time for a facial, then it's time to go to All About Me and ask for Allison! You will have the most relaxing experience ever! I have had facials at other local, well known spas, and have paid the same amount of money as at All About Me, but the experience doesn't compare. Allison is very professional, and makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. She is very experienced, and as a former nurse, she recgonizes any suspicious spots on your face and lets you know to have them looked at. Hers hands and fingers massage your face and shoulders, all the way down to your fingers! I love the warm mittens on my hands, and the warm towels feel especially nice during this cold weather. This is honestly one of the best hair salons I've been to. I simply was driving by one day and decided to come in and was very impressed with the environment overall. Very friendly and and clean place. I wanted a haircut and the receptionist at the front desk gave me Olga, who was great and nice to talk to. I was highly satisfied with the final result and recommend this place to anyone and everyone. more

I just had my first experience at ""All About Me"", I won a gift certificate from 104.3 for a deep cleansing facial and a manicure. I felt so welcome and appreciated as a new client, I had a lovely facial and my manicure still looks great after a week. I was pleased to see all of the great boutique items available, I took full advantage and bought for most of my friends and family. What a beautiful and comfortable place to be. I have been to All About Me 2 times and I have mixed feelings. I love my haircut and highlights and I realize that is most important. What I dont like is the decor. It is VERY cluttered because they are selling junk in every corner and crevis of the salon. The shampoo stations may be the most uncompfortable I have ever experienced and they used an old stained / torn towel. Just thought I would write a review today after coming back from All About Me. The place deserves the BEST review. I have been going there a few years now, always to Olga, and she never disappoints. Today particularly I got Olga and as always, she was a lot of fun to talk to and nice to be around, but not only that. The highlights and haircut were perfect, just what I was looking for. Highly recommend her. The salon always looks to be in tip-top shape. Everything is clean and everyone seems to know exactly what they are supposed to be doing. Jenna is very warm and friendly. She listens to what you say you want, makes some recommendations and then makes it so! I always get compliments on my hair after Jenna's done it. The only downside about the salon is the music... I like the fact that it's an eclectic mix but the volume is so loud it's jarring! I am a regular customer of Olga's and asked her what this whole Keratin treatment was about and she told me that I wouldn't be disappointed with the results. I decided to get it and it completely rejuvenated my hair, leaving it shiny, frizz-free and full of luster. It is definitely worth the time and price and I'm so glad Olga did such a great job. more

I have gotten a few cuts and color done with Jenna and she is AWESOME! I have finally found a great hairdresser in this area. She really listens to what you want, and delivers! I am very happy with the result of having my hair done at AAM. The atmosphere is great and as soon as I met my stylist Jenna I was sold. She understood exactly what I wanted. She gave me a short cut and beautiful golden brown color that compliments both my coloring and my face shape. She is very professional, funny and best of all good at doing hair. I had the pleasure of receiving a pedicure, manicure, and waxing at All About Me today and really enjoyed my experience. My waxer did a great job; she was quick and still got the area so smooth. My nail technician did a fantastic pedicure, it was well worth the money. The front desk staff was very welcoming, and the salon was professional without being snobby or pretentious. I parked in the Wachovia parking lot next to the salon and they validated my parking ticket so I would not have to keep running out to the meters. Their prices are very reasonable for the quality of service I received, and I plan on making an appointment for my hair next! more

So I know that my previous post is now deleted from this so I'll recap what happened. Got a hair cut from Brian. Looked nothing like the hair cut in my picture and my hair was highlighted way too light for my hair. I woke up the next day and called the manager to complain. She set up an appointment for me with Gia. I showed Gia the picture that I gave to Brian and even she said that my hair cut looks nothing like the one in the picture. While I was getting my hair washed, she even showed it to the manager and even the manager agreed. So no, I'm not insane. Gia explained to me that Brian's good with making things blonde (hence my extreme highlights) and guy's hair cuts (which is why I looked like a guy). She told me that if she knew she couldn't do something, she'd tell the client and even suggest them where and who to go to. Gia cut my hair and told me that she couldn't stand my highlights so she dyed it to tone them down. Now I absolutely love my hair and all of my friends are spazing out about how awesome it looks. Although it's shorter than what I wanted due to Brian's attempt, it's still wonderful.\r \r So to sum this up: Brian's for hair care, male's hair cuts, and bright highlights. Gia's for everything else. If it's your first time, get Gia since she'll at least tell you if she can't do what you want. Made an appt for a Brazilian bikini wax & pedicure after reading a positive review of this spa in Baltimore Magazine, but left feeling underwhelmed with the quality of both services. I asked to have 'everything' taken off with the bikini wax, but was left with leftover hairs in several spots and had to finish the job myself with tweezers at home. I sensed that the waxer was either too shy or tentative to get down in there and wax everything off, but that's what I paid for. The pedicure was OK, but not great; polish was unevenly applied on the big toes which I noticed at the time but refrained from complaining because the girl was so nice.
