Amazing! 9/29/2010

In a matter of a few months Andy has made me come alive both physically and emotionally. He is truly a one of a kind doctor and gives such excellent care and advice to all his patients. Andy is not only a miracle doctor-he gives his patients 110% and is a 24/7 doctor as well. The best part- he is one who dedicates himself to making his patients well. I am overwhelmed by Andy's dedication-His office is a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. Your health comes first with him-his insight for his patients is amazing. more

Happy Hour 6/15/2009

Andy is just way more than 'good' coz he knows what to do for pains. I walked in with a stiff back & arms hurt; and walked out totally relaxed, with no aches or pains. Thank you, Andy, for such a great job u've done. u're genius!! The next day, i recommended my sis' to check out that place, and she did and she couldn't stop bragging about how great he was for hours. Pros: very reasonable price; friendly staff more

Feeling great again 6/9/2009

I went to get acupuncture at AcuWorks Acupuncture about 6 months ago and it was the best decision I ever made. I have been suffering for years from migraines, low back pain and more recently vertigo and fatigue. After a couple of months of sessions, I am feeling like a new person. I wish I had tried this sooner rather than take the medications I have been on for the past 7 years. Andy is extremely professional and very knowledgeable. His office is very warm, welcoming and relaxing. I highly recommend his services. Pros: Nice space, friendly, knowledgeable acupuncturist Cons: can't think of any more

Worth the wait and as good as people say! 5/11/2009

I had to wait a few weeks to get an initial appointment with Andy, but it was worth the wait. I've seen other acupuncturists but he's by far the best. He's really knowledgeable, has lots of experience and is kind and warm. The clinic is a lovely caring place, immaculately clean and feels instantly relaxing the moment you walk through the door. Pros: attention, skill, understanding, location more

The Needles Work!!! 4/21/2009

Seeing Andy was a profound experience for me. He was sensitive, warm, informative, supportive, encouraging and knowledgeable. With his help and the acupuncture treatments, I learned so much about my own body and improved my ability to care for it. I also became stronger in my personal relationships, less reactive and more able to express myself. Acupuncture is truly amazing. And Andy is such an amazing practitioner and person! Pros: changed my life more

Amazing Acupuncturist!! 2/27/2009

I went to see Andy after developing tendinitis in my arms that was so severe I thought I was going to have to quit my job and go on disability. My job involves working on a computer all day (whose doesn't?) and by the end of the day I would be in tears, unable to move my hands. I'd tried physical therapy, steroid shots in the tendons, occupational therapy, anti-inflammatory pills and patches, elbow braces and even Percoset. Andy's treatment has been the only thing that's enabled me to get back to a nearly normal life. I still have to be careful not to work on a laptop or carry heavy things, but I am no longer in constant agony that wakes me up at night. Andy is also a warm, friendly, upbeat and compassionate person. I'd highly recommend him to anyone! Pros: takes insurance, convenient location, evening hours more

Go in for a tune-up! 5/12/2008

I initially went to Andy because I was curious about acupuncture. I had friends and family who liked it, so I wanted to see what it was all about. But as a generally healthy person, I didn't know what acupuncture could do for me (and let me just say that I wasn't thrilled at the prospect of being pricked in multiple places! Eek!). Well, all of my apprehensions vanished once the session began. Andy made me feel comfortable and relaxed. And I was BLOWN AWAY by the results of just a single session! Immediately, I felt like I was functioning at an optimum level. I had loads of energy, was sleeping better than ever, waking up alert and refreshed, plowing through my ""to do"" list (even accomplishing things that had been left unattended for months). And the cold I was coming down with never came. I was like super-me! You know how when you go to the doctor for a regular check-up, you walk out basically the same as you came in? Well, after seeing Andy, I walk out feeling supercharged, an effect that lasts for weeks. Don't wait until something is wrong with you to go see Andy (although if something is, I highly suggest you see him right away). I continue to see Andy because me life is just better when I do. Yours will be, too. Pros: it doesn't hurt - some acupuncturists are rough - not Andy!, incredible results Cons: I can't think of any more

Effective treatment 5/6/2008

After trying every migraine medication available (many of which made me ill), I sought alternative treatment at AcuWorks Acupuncture and have noticed a significant reduction in the frequency of headaches. I am no longer dependent on beta blockers or other migraine medication and I feel great after every treatment. Andy is extremely knowledgeable and effective. The atmosphere is beautiful and relaxing. I highly recommend it! Pros: Conveinent location, Relaxing, Effective Cons: n/a more

Does not care about suffering patient 4/12/2008

I read the reviews on this site which prompted me to call and make an appointment for my wrist pain. Pros: Learned what they were before I spent my money. Cons: No pain relief and spent a week in pain. more

Hormone problem gone! 3/3/2008

I met Christine in December 2007. She listened carefully to my complaints of imbalances in my body causing acne problems on my nose and throat, intestinal problems and hives at certain times in the month. She detected a hormonal problem and prescribed a combination of Chinese herbs in pill form (much easier to take than teas). Christine carefully wrote down the proper administration of the herbs that seemed so foreign to me so it was easy to understand. I have been taking these herbs for three months now and have had no breakouts or hives. She was also able to determine that with my specific constitution a calming element was needed and a bonus to my treatment has been a more balanced state of mind. Every time I call her to pick up more herbs she expresses concern for how I?m feeling. It?s nice to know that someone cares and has the answers to my specific needs. more

A Great Experience!! 2/22/2008

I have been going to AcuWorks Acupuncture for a long time and Andy has been wonderful! He has helped me with many problems and was the only one who could help with a pinched nerve I suffered from a car accident. I highly recommend trying AcuWorks Acupuncture. Pros: warm environment, always on time, caring staff more

Best Acupuncturist in Town 1/22/2008

I went to Andy after suffering from a chronic cough. I was diagnosed with asthma, bronchitiis, acid reflux, silent reflux, enlarged vocal cords, sinusitis and things I can't even remember. I saw a cardiologist, pulmonologist, allergist and ENT. I was taking prilosec, prednizone, steroid inhalers, rescue inhalers, etc. After my very first vist with Andy, I stopped all my medication and virtually stopped coughing. The only thing I take now is the herbs he prescribed. He is truly amazing! Not only is he compassionate and kind, he truly knows her stuff! I can't tell you how thrilled I am to have found her. He is my savior! In the future, I will first turn to him. more

He will make you a believer! 9/7/2007

I have several old injuries that have left me with chronic neck and upper back pain. I went through years of physical therapy and the effects were never long-lasting. I had been searching for a good acupuncturist and I saw what great reviews Andy received and I thought I'd give him a try. I liked him seconds after I met him because he actually cares about me and wants me to feel better. And, literally, after he put a few needles in, I knew I had found my new acupuncturist. I had more mobility in my neck, all the tightness and pain when moving my head was knocked down from a 9 to a 2 (on a scale of 1 to 10, ten being the worst pain). One thing you should definitely know, it's not a one shot and you're cured kind of treatment. You need to put in the time to get the results you want and from my experiences, after a couple visits, you will truly feel the benefits. Also, you should know that after the first visit, you may feel worse but I can only explain that as it's all the evil stuff that causes your pain working it's way out of you. You may be discouraged but give it a chance to work because by the second visit, you will understand. You will feel better and will be addicted to the sessions cause they are so relaxing and you will leave feeling great. Acupuncture is amazing and I recommend it to anyone who lives with chronic pain and is looking for some real, long-lasting results. Andy is courteous, professional and most importantly, knows what he is doing! I had been to several other acupuncturists who seemed to care more about the clock and my money rather than my well being. Andy is willing to spend the time with you to make sure you are feeling better. I highly recommend him!!!! Pros: Very gentle and tailored service, evening and Saturday appointments more

Alternative Medicine for Vertigo and Anxiety 4/5/2007

For over a year I have been a chronic sufferer of vertigo and anxiety. I tried EVERYTHING, literally. Finally, as a last resort I gave acupuncture a try. I have been working with Andy for a month now and after every treatment my anxiety is dissolved, and after each treatment I notice the anxiety staying away for longer periods of time. I am simply amazed. On top of everything else Andy is such a caring man. He is so kind and personable, he takes his time and makes you feel comfortable. He is gentle and instills an environment of safety. Pros: attentive, convenient location Cons: n/a more

The Miracle Worker 2/7/2007

Initially, I did not understand the Ying and Yang language that Christine explained. However, during that conversation, I did notice that Christine was passionate about her area of practice and had (which she still does) a gentle spirit. I decided to be introduced to the world of acupuncture. On my first visit, I received treatment to relieve the excruciating pain in my head due to my sinuses and it worked. I am a believer now!! Since then, I have been back for knee and shoulder injuries and again and again her treatments were effective. It is amazing, how I would normally take pain killers, but now there is no need to... when you have Christine Kuo, the Miracle Worker! Pros: effective, reasonably priced, honest more

Amazing! 9/28/2006

I went to Andy due to chronic back pain. When I first met with him he asked me to rate my pain on a scale of one to ten. That day it was a ten and I could barely sit down. Five minutes into my treatment I felt a huge difference. My pain went down from a ten to a two--within minutes and I could sit comfortably! I am also being treated for horrible knee pain...needless to say, Andy has helped that tremendously! He is wonderful at what he does. He is attentive, caring, gentle and EXTREMELY knowledgeable. There is a warmth and a peacefulness to his practice and he makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. I tried may other forms of treatment prior to coming to AcuWorks Acupuncture Clinic and NOTHING worked as well. I only wish I went to him sooner. I am forever grateful for his treatment. Pros: Relaxing atmosphere, Wonderful Practioner more

Big difference for stubborn wrist injury 9/10/2006

I slipped on ice this past winter and suffered a fracture to my wrist. I barely escaped needing surgery, but had to wear a cast for 2 months, and recently started physical therapy. After 9 sessions in 4 weeks of physical therapy, my wrist was slow to show any improvement. I still experienced pain, had trouble rotating my wrist and my forearm felt very stiff. Pros: attentive, convenient location, Listen more

A Serious Professional Who Strives to Improve the Health of His Patient 8/18/2006

At my job, I spend all day in front of the computer. Over time, I developed a stiff/tense back. Finally, my back pain got so bad and nothing seemed to alleviate it - I decided to try acupuncture and called AcuWorks Acupuncture Clinic. Pros: Experienced, Effective, Comfortable more

Feel like a new person! 8/7/2006

I have been suffering from fibromyalgia for many years, making work and daily chores very painful thus leaving me tired and unable to sleep. My first visit with Christine was different from all the doctors that I have been to for this problem. She listened to my medical history and took her time with me, she made no promises but felt assured she could help me. After my first visit I felt more energy and an overall well being. Each time I see her she gives me the same quality of care she did on my first visit with her. Finally I have found someone who is caring and also knows how to help me. It is refreshing to be under the care of a professional who really helps me and who cares about my health and well being physically and emotionally. more
