STAY AWAY OF THEM! The most terrible experience ever! They are polite only when they want their money. I bought 6 hours for my son.They called me after first lesson and said they lost my check asking to issue them the other one. So I did by the way going thru the trouble to cancel the first one in the bank because I had no idea where it was floating. When I called them to schedule the second lesson I was told that it was too late because it was more than a year and it is expired. HUH? Expired? It is not a coupon,not a vaucher, it is hard cash paid. They said it was a company policy. I drove there today to tack to company owner Mr McLane. He had an attitude ""I don't know!"". He said they have no records and people come all the time to scam them. He actually treated me as a scammer though I had their receipt and instructor's check list for 3 hours! They gave me their lawer's phone number and that was it. It is not the way to treat the customers. BE AWARE! Spend your money somewhere else! more

Where do I begin? Last month I called ABC Driving School to schedule lessons for my 16 year old daughter. We wanted weekend lessons as my daughter is a student and weekend hours worked better for my daughter. I related to the woman that my daughter's driving permit would be expiring in 2 months and we wanted lessons completed before then. The only Sunday sessions that were available were a month a way. We were okay with waiting a month for her lessons to begin as we were reassured her lessons would be completed before her permit expired. It is now Friday afternoon, the weekend of my daughter's first lesson. She has been waiting for this weekend with great anticipation/excitement. I received a call from ABC Driving School saying that ""Something has come up"" and that my daughter's lessons are cancelled for this Sunday. The soonest they can reschedule her is a month away from now, leaving us to have to renew her permit. I asked for the owener and the man on the phone said ""He is just going to tell you what I told you!"" The man on the phone was very unprofessional and did not have any solution to the problem. He exhibited an ""OH WELL!!"" attitude even when reminded him of the situation they had left us in. I came up with a couple of solutions to possibly help my daugher get her lessons completed in the next 20 days..ABC Driving School did nothing to work with us and the unfortunant situation they had caused.. Please look elsewhere! After looking online.. I found a a couple of other driving schools here in the Phoenix area. and my daugher is currently taking lessons with a very friendly and professional company:) more

Everything depends on the instructor 8/9/2010

I had an opportunity to have two instructors during my lessons. For the first lesson I had Niels and for the second one I had Larry. Niels was very unpleasant and impatient. It was for the first time I drove in the city but I was much more stressed by the instructor than the traffic around me. The lesson was so stressful that I was afraid of the second one. Larry was realy pleasant and very kind to me. He was patient and tought me so many useful things. I was afraid to drive at freeways before this lesson and now I know it isn't so difficult as it could seem to be. To tell the truth the web pages of this driving school argued me out of this school first. Because there is very little information about the lessons like number of hours or the price. You cannot find out almost anything there you have to call them. That's a pity because the price is realy good and quality too when you have the right instructor. more

Ok, but could have been better 8/8/2010

I needed to find a driving school to teach me to drive since I didn't really have anyone else that had the time to do so. The instructor I got was friendly and calm, which put me at ease. Unfortunately, I didn't think two lessons were enough, since I just moved here, don't know the area, and things are very different than what I'm used to. I also had little experience driving and was having difficulty with some things. I was surprised that I wasn't taught some important things, like how to park and parallel park. I still have some trouble with parking lots. My ""road test"" only consisted of driving to and from one place twice. I haven't had my license for very long, and I already have to attend Traffic Survival School. I wanted to have more lessons, but was told I was ready (I disagreed) and that was all. I think that if I was able to take more lessons, I might not still be having some trouble on the road. Pros: Friendly instructors Cons: Wasn't taught some things I needed to know and couldn't schedule more lessons more

Happy Students Happy Mom 3/14/2008

I sent my two daughters to this school after a refereral from their high school. I like most parents was concerned about the thought of my daughters driving on city streets and highways. The Instructor Larry was very thoughtful and taught my daughters more then I ever could have. My daughters did not learn basics as some other schools offered they learned to be aware drivers and I feel safe riding with them. Thanks and Kudos to ABC Driving. We could not have done it without you. Pros: Small 25 student classroom. One on One Instruction Cons: Classroom only one location more
