Wow...where to begin. We spent almost $40K with Nob Hill on our new home. They sent me invoices 1 year after we moved in saying that we didn't pay them. They double invoiced for items. Now we have a shower that won't work. I called to see about getting a new part. Was told it was under warranty. When I arrived to pick up part (after 4 weeks of waiting and no shower), I was told I had to pay for the part and I would have to deal with the manufacturer myself to get money back. I called the owner an a***ole and he proceeded to pick up the part and walked to the back and said I couldn't have it. I would never in a million years recommend Nob Hill to anyone. DO NOT go to this store. more

Way too expensive and not trustworthy. Overcharged me by ALOT. $150 for first hour - $300 for second hour. My mistake - I had no idea that PVC pipe repair would take 20 minutes. I assumed based upon his quote that it would take several hours. \r \r I've called other plumbers and they've said this job would be no more than $250 total - even on a weekend. \r \r I called AAA Auger on a Sunday because I had a 'growing' puddle in my front yard, between the meter and house. The problem was a broken elbow in the main water line - a PVC pipe. The plumber arrived and told me it would take $150 to dig the hole to determine what the repair fee would be. I thought fair enough - that would cover his drive out on a sunday and to dig the hole. Then he said 'oh, this is going to take $300 to fix'. I asked for a breakout of his repair estimate and he said they don't work by time/materials, just off of their listed prices by job. The repair cost for my job was $300. Otherwise they would charge $97.50 hour. I thought - wow - this is going to take some time to fix. So, I authorized the repair. I took him no longer than 20 minutes to make the repair and then another 30 minutes standing around waiting for the glue to dry. \r \r They fixed my problem, but I paid $150 for first hour of service and $300 for second hour of service. I feel totally taken and that the plumber should have been honest and suggested I pay time/materials since the listed repair rate was such a huge over-charge. \r \r I called to complain and they told me this did this one 'by the books'. But, that was really unfair and they should be willing to charge an honest repair for this. more

I noticed a green spot in the dead grass of my yard, close to the city's water meter. Sent email to the city, which sent a guy out who said "your problem, not ours." Called AAA Auger at 5:30pm; fixed by 8:30pm of the same day. Repair cost the estimated $407, which ain't bad, compared to the $670 water bill. This is the second time I've used AAA Auger, and it won't be the last. more

They sent BRANDON out in less than 45 minutes. He was neat, courteous, and VERY efficient. Calling a plumber can get real scary; you just never know what you're getting into. I will recommend AAA Auguer to all of my friends (already have to the neighbor next door). Price was pleasing, too. more

Excellent service and quality work! they were available for immediate repairs and were quite punctual. I loved that we didnt have some crazy window for us to hang out and wait for. I think they were incredibly fair and honest. I also thought it was fabulous that the plumber cleaned up after himself. Ive been dealing with all types of contractors and was shocked on how piggy most of them are. Again the repairs and installs are excellent and I would definitely recommend AAA Auger. more

There was a small area of mold on the wall near the floor by my shower and I figured it was just from the door splashing or leaking on that spot. I got down close to it and saw that the whole area was wet and when I started getting my hands in there I was peeling back paint and wet drywall. Yep there was a leak behind the shower and it had soaked through the wall and soaked the wood. Based on earlier reviews here I called AAA Auger around noon and they said someone would be at my house around 5pm. Mind you, this was at the start of a holiday weekend...my insurance company wasn't open so I figured I'd have a tough time getting an appointment or even reaching a live person. With AAA, it was no problem. The plumber, Curtis, showed up just before 5pm. Nice guy, very friendly and personable. And he knows what he is doing, which is always a plus. He got to work quickly and only needed a couple of minutes to figure out where the leakS (yes there were a couple) were. He didn't try to sell me on any extra services or products. He told me how much it would cost and once I agreed he got to work and took care of it quickly. Of course I was happy that they fixed the problem and gave me some good advice on how to prevent future problems and what to keep an eye on over the next couple of years (my house is 20yrs old). But I was happy that they stuck to their schedule so well. The receptionist explained everything to me in detail, Curtis called about 20min before he showed up, and everything went smoothly. I had to work that evening and needed some sleep so knowing exactly what to expect and when let me get some good rest in before work. Almost forgot...their price was good too. I didn't feel like I was being gouged or anything. T The reviews are legit. I highly recommend AAA Auger! more

I was having problems with my water heater....my pilot light would not stay lit. I was already working with another plumbing service who had come out prior to replace the thermocouple. I had contacted the same company to try to fix it again this time around and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with the water heater. For a plumbing service, they were not knowledgeable on the type of brand that I had and was not willing to speak to the manufacturer for me. They also lied to me on what year it was built....making it seem that it was older than it really is and it had to be replaced. Their best solution was to just replace the water heater with one they had in stock. This would have cost me a whole new water heater plus labor. They couldn't even tell me the model and year of the heaters they already had so who knows how long it would have lasted! ARRRGGG!!!! After accessing this sketchy situation, I decided to call AAA Auger . I explained the situation to them over the phone and they came out to have a look. Not only were they super knowledgable on the type of water heater that I have but the last thing they wanted to do was to just put in a new one. They concluded that there were multiple parts that needed to be replaced and quickly contacted the manufacturer themselves to have them ordered right away. Once the parts came them, they were installed and my water heater was working again! Plus, they knew that the parts would be under warranty so in the end I only had to pay for the labor! AAA Auger was quick, efficient, knowledgeable, professional, clean, and friendly. I am very happy I made the call to them and would highly recommend them for any of your plumbing needs. more

Justin came out to fix our guest bathroom toilet. He determined that our toilet needs to be replaced. We set up an appointment for him to come out today to install it. Justin was very friendly and was willing to work around my schedule to come install it. He is coming today at 5:00. This allowed me to still go to work and not have to miss today. e called AAA Auger on a Saturday due to clogged drain and water standing in the garage. Within 10 minutes we had a call back that Mike and Scooter were on their way and would be here in about 20 minutes. It was actually less time than that. We cannot tell you how impressed we were. From the time of the initial call to completion of the job was less than 1 1/2 hours! WOW!! That is impressive. Both Mike and Scooter were very courteous and professional. AAA Auger will have our future plumbing business! Thank you, Mike and Scooter, for a job well done! more

I bought a new washer. When hooking it up, I noticed that the valve was leaking. Since I am a DIY guy, I decided to replace the valve myself. In doing so, I managed to nick the copper piping while removing the old valve and caused a pinhole leak. Danny showed up within one hour and was able to cost effectively fix the pipe with a new type of coupler that didn't require soldiering. Thanks for a job well done without excessive charges. more

Called this company on Saturday night letting them know I had a problem with my hot water heater. (Ads says 24/7). Got a call back stating their on-call individual had a family emergency and could not come out until the following morning. Ok....said I would get a gift certificate for my patience. Called at 10:15 this morning wondering when they might arrive........ Dispatch had no record of my call or that I needed service..... more

I had a toilet leaking Friday night and thought I would be out of luck until Monday or have to pay extra to have weekend service. I called Friday night and AAA Auger sent a plumber out within an hour at no extra charge. The plumber quoted me ahead of time the price and even though he ran into some extra work he stuck to his original price for my toilet. The plumber took care not to make a mess. I was suprised and pleased with the care he took and the thorugh manner in which he addressed my problem. He even wore shoe booties in my house. Pros: Fast - Professional more

Great service. Called a couple other plumbers before AAA Auger, they told me they were too ""booked"", and wanted to schedule me for a few DAYS later. I called AAA Auger, and they said they'd call back as soon as they can schedule a plumber. They called back in about 10 minutes, said ""Our guy is going to your house now"". The plumber showed up about 10 minutes after that phone call. The plumber quickly took measure of the drain blockage problem, gave me an estimate, that was about half of what I was expecting. He did the work quickly and professionally, and then did some tests to make sure everything was ok. He did these tests 3 times over, cause he said he wanted to ""make sure everything is right before I leave"". He then wanted to stay to help me clean up some of the overflowed water in the bathroom. I told him that wasn't necessary, I could take care of that. He then took off $30 because I didn't want his help to clean the bathroom! Pros: Very friendly, clean cut plumber. more
