Hi Gang: I know the secretary here by face, she was walking streets on Aurora back and forth 2 years ago. I think she was homeless or something; Now she has a place to sleep. ...

Editorial review from Citysearch 3/7/2013

I want to say what a great experience my daughter had at the 911 Driving School in Seattle. The instructors were very professional and the staff was helpful in every way. I had looked around at some of the other driving schools. Little names and some of the BIG competitors and this school took them hands down. The location is easy to drop off my daughter and pick her up. They now do the knowledge testing and the drive test too. One stop shopping for learning how to drive to getting her license. After she was done with the course my daughter took her drive test and past now we are just waiting for her to turn 16 to go to the DOL to pick up her license. \r If you have any doubt on this school DON'T! They are very good! Scheduling drives were easy and everyone was very nice! \r I will be sending my son there in 6 month! \r THANK YOU 911 DRIVING SCHOOL OF SEATTLE!!!!! more

Wow! Unbelievable value for my money... 2/27/2013

Update:02/27/2013: Please be careful with the bitter negative reviews, as they seem like some upset competitor trolling the webpage. 911 Driving School has had the best reputation around and is considered the industry gold standard for a reason. Just be careful not to get sucked in to shady marketing practices and smear campaigns like that... My original review from a couple years back is listed below:\r \r ""Wow... just Wow! I am so impressed with this Company. The level of service and professionalism coming from this business is amazing. We were looking for a good priced Driving School, and we noticed this one... When I read that all of the Instructors are Police Officers, it occurred to me that this is a brilliant idea that, plain and simple, just makes sense. Before going to the store, I called around and checked out the other guys in the area. They wanted close to the same price, but they couldn't explain to me how they could compete with the skills and abilities of the Police Officers who were teaching for 911 Driving School. Then, we went to compare locations and vehicles. I was blown away by the difference. All of the other Driving Schools were all like a hole in the wall compared to 911 Driving School's stores. On top of that, I just didn't get the same ""feeling"" that I got from those folks, as I did from the Instructors at the 911 Driving School Stores. Overall, I am so glad we chose 911 over the other guys' offerings. Thanks 911! more

not professional, rip off people, stay away 12/19/2011

Hi Gang: I know the secretary here by face, she was walking streets on Aurora back and forth 2 years ago. I think she was homeless or something; Now she has a place to sleep. She and the owner, live and sleep there at night. What is his name? They have been living there for 2 years almost. Do they shower? Is he a cop I heard or what? Is she a hooker. What a combo, a hooker and cop. more

best driving school around 11/17/2011

Thank you so much to Seattle 911 driving school. I put 2 of my children through 911 driving school in Seattle and they were awesome. Ross was a great instructor. My kids learned so much from his classes and the instructors in the car were great to. Kristie at the desk is very helpful when you need something she is there to help. If I had more kids I would send them there. I have told all our friends to go to Seattle 911 driving school because they are awesome. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! more

Very disappointing 10/28/2011

Very, very disappointing. NEVER answer their phone. Office hours are so few that it makes it next to impossible to ever reach anyone, especially if you work. I was surprised to find out, in the first day parent orientation, that the $600 was primarily for classsroom, and that there were only 5 times that the students drove. We were told that we, as parents, were the ones who needed to take our kids out for ""at least 50 hours of driving"". I'm all for driving with our kids, but I didn't expect to pay $600 to someone else for it. A major rip-off. Shop around for another company. more

She always has a smile on her face and she will make you laugh! The instructors are great and the owner Gene he is fabulous! i had the best experience and i will send my other 2 kids through this school! So i hope Kristie and the instructors stay!!!!!!!!! Thank you for everything! Pros: everything Cons: nothing more

NEW OWNERS & NO MORE DRIVE TIME PROBLEMS! 3/31/2010

NOW there are more than a dozen licensed police instructors available for drives. Prior to the new owners taking over, drives were hard to schedule. Not anymore! It is now easy to schedule drives!! The owners are moving the school to a location across from Oak Tree Cinema. Lots of parking and easy drop off and pick-up! You won't be disappointed! Pros: Professional Instructors, great classes Cons: None anymore more

Great Classes 3/9/2010

No one has the training and expertise these guys had. I would recommend this school to anyone who really cares about giving their children the best education. My family will ALL go through here. Pros: easy to work with more

New Owners 2/23/2010

The school has new owners who have taken care of past complaints. They have a lot more officers working for them. It is easy to get drive times and the school itself is very professional. Pros: Great instruction more

Difficult to Work With 11/9/2009

I paid almost $600 dollars for my son to learn to drive. They cancelled the location we had chosen at the last minute and said they would automatically sign him up for the next session. I waited almost two months and then they cancelled again without informing me. I tried calling and got some giggly teenager and told them I wanted to be contacted by the owner, who never called me, but cashed my check and still has not contacted me about a make-up class. I ready for small claims court. more

No drive time 9/9/2009

The parents are told that we ""may not"" be able to schedule all 5 mandatory drives before the class instruction period is over, but that we have a few months to finish the drives. However, we are almost done with our courses and have not even had ONE drive. I'm not sure how my son is supposed to relate the drives to the instruction by the time he gets to take drives. You can't schedule each drive until after the kid has passed each corresponding test. So there's no way to schedule ahead of time either. Our family wants our $559 back. It would have been faster to go to the school district. Pros: Class instruction is good Cons: No time to schedule drives more

Classes good, scheduling is ridiculous 9/3/2009

Perfectly adequate as far as the classroom instruction goes, but try to schedule one of the 10 hours of required driving/observation time! Impossible. They are booked up many weeks ahead. Apparently, they pack their classes with students, and don't have enough instructors to take students out on drives. Pros: Lots of class times available Cons: Hard to schedule drives more

VERY GOOD SCHOOL 1/28/2009

They have wonderful teachers that try their hardest to make sure that kids know their stuff. I wouldnt of sent my kid anywhere else Pros: great teachers, good lessions, ect Cons: none! more

Working with this company is harder than raising a teenager! 4/10/2008

A poorly run business. They often cancel drives at the last minute, and then charge $50 if these drives are not completed within a certain time frame - even if this is due to their own cancellations. They use police officers as teachers, and if these officers are needed in court or on duty, then your drive is canceled. I have had drives canceled after I arrived to drop off my child with no notice at all. The office staff is inflexible and inexperienced in working with parents. Pros: Good instruction, when you can get it Cons: Unreliable, cancel drives at last minute, unprofessional more
