Happy hour is supposed to be just that ? a joyous, relaxing occasion of letting loose after the corporate world ceases its nibbling away at your soul, at least for the day. This day, it was less so. I must note that this was not a normal happy hour; it was a promoted happy hour event. Still, the bar was woefully understaffed and said staff was understandably short-tempered. Most of the tables in the second, curtained-off room were tastefully ?Reserved,? so that everyone was shunted into the first room, made tight by the lengthy line (twelve minutes ? I timed it) for the bar. Though the sleek design, a cool blue echoed with mirror-laden walls, made up for most of the organizational mess, I was thoroughly disturbed by the sodden carpet underfoot. Happy hour is not the time for tenderly treading through a peat bog.
Pros: Fun crowd
Cons: Wet carpet
