In this day of age you would expect that racism would be over, and that we moved on to something better since we have a black president, but unfortunately we did not. ------Standing online waiting to get in was just a nightmare for me because the door man felt that I was the wrong race for that particular night (crazy right). When I finally got in front of the line I tried to speak to the door man about us being on the guest list, since my friend is having her b-day party, he just ignored me and allowed people behind me to get in. Which I felt was unfair since I waited for my turn to get in this place. This went on for about 20 min. Until I realized this was a race issue since he was allowing all the white woman and men to get in front of me which made me feel insulted and embarrassed because we were dressed for the occasion and I was speaking to him with the respect that any human being should receive. I then finally got of the line with my boyfriend and decided to walk away and go to another club. My friend who started to have her b-day party there then decided to leave because she knew I was insulted and embarrassed. Therefore all of us who decided to celebrate her b-day there left and went to another club in the city were race is not an issue. -------I suggest if you have a mix crowd of friends do not bring them there for any occasion.
