My wife and I have now eaten at The 103 a half dozen times since it reopened. I just read some of the reviews and I am not sure we are all talking about the same restaurant. We ate there last night and the food was so hot I actually burned by tongue (still hurts now). The food is all fresh and cooked to order according to the chef who we spoke to a few weeks back in the dining room upstairs -- it is cooked and sent out -- no waiting. As busy as the place is I do not know how it could be any other way.
The french fries were new as of this week -- the chef discontinued the hand cut fries because of the complaints about them going ""soggy"" according to our waitress (who was quite pleasant for someone who had a lot of people to keep happy). I think this stinks. Hand cut fries are the best. I would rather eat soggy hand cuts than frozen -- but the onion rings are still fresh and made to order, so I will just skip the fries.
Finally, I have never, ever seen drinks like the ones we get at this restaurant. The wine glasses are big and full. The other night when we sat at the bar upstairs (beautiful, by the way) the bartender poured more than half the glass full of vodka before adding a bit of juice... I have never seen anything like it. At least double what I have received elsewhere. So, if you are driving, be careful, because these are not normal drinks.
The reviews here may be mixed, but you owe it to yourself to go to The 103, try the food and, by all means, have a drink... I am hooked.
Pros: Food quality and very nice drinks...
Cons: New french fries
