A party of 5 returned to the 103 after it opened again. We had all been to the 103 on a fairly regular basis over the years. Everybody was excited to see the same menu, and the same layout and decor in the restaurant. The waitress was attentive, friendly, and enthusiastic. Very nice.
We ordered 2 buffalo chicken fingers, a salad, a fraddock, and a small fish fry. The fish was excellent, though the cheese on the fraddock wasn't great and was discarded. The buffalo chicken was enjoyed even though the sauce seemed to be a different spice mix than the old menu. The fries were very disappointing. The flavor was ok, but they were soggy and not very hot. Either the oil was old or not hot enough or they had sat for too long. The onion rings, otoh, were excellent.
We will return again and hope the fries are better. If the fries were good and the cheese had worked we would have given the experience a 5.
So, we'll be back again in a while. We'd recommend the 103 for people to try. We also hope the new ownership takes the criticism as useful to improve their product so their restaurant becomes successful.
