Businiess name:  Schutte's Corner
Review by:  Robert S.
Review content:
I've had lunch at Schutte's Corner a couple of times after doing business at UTMB, and I always went away happy and full. The chicken-fried steak was especially mm-mm good! We first learned about the place from the nurses in the ward where my partner had been an in-patient. Yes, Schutte's does take-out, and it is very popular with UTMB staff and others in the area. The couple who used to own Schutte's also own Miller's Landing on the Seawall. I understand that they recently sold Schutte's so that they could concentrate on just one restaurant. I hope that the menu favorites stay the same. One more thing: Be sure you get to Schutte's before 2pm, or you may go away hungry. We've sometimes had a yen to eat there, but didn't realize what time it was and drove up to find that the doors were closed. Maybe the new owners will open for longer hours (hope, hope).
