Have lived here 5+ years and regret it more and more each day. I have NEVER in my life had to deal with the kind of unprofessionalism that I have seen here. My husband and I are educated, hard working professionals as well as parents and community members... if you fit a similar description and are looking for a place to live in/around Schenectady and Niskayuna, PLEASE do not consider Hillcrest Village at all. You will regret it every month you send away your rent check. A minimum of 3 different property managers, 2 different property companies and countless numbers of quasi-maintenance people have come and gone. No one is accountable for or reliable when problems occur. Hillcrest will gladly take your rent but then ignore your concerns and complaints. With each passing year, another amenity disappears while the rent continues to increase. Oh- and don't ever let your rent check cross in the mail--- they slap a late fee on you so quick its almost comical. Money-hungry management destroys what could potentially be a lovely apartment community to live in.
