Review content:
The Virginia Zoo has been doing a lot of work on making it a very great place to go. The addition of the new African area, really enhances the park. Being able to see the elephants, zebras, and giraffes in a more natural habitat was amazing. They even added a new baby elephant to the herd. The petting zoo area is great for children of all ages, including myself! We loved the small monkey exhibit and all the children in our group found this to be their favorite place!
The zoos only downfall is the fact that they are small and don't have an abundance of animals. But then again, for the price and the fact that young children can't take large zoo's, this zoo is a very good place for a family outing.
I would recommend getting a season pass.
