Review content:
The main, and sometimes only, reason to visit this bar is for the incredible room. considering it makes you feel as if you were drinking on the set of Citizen Kane, that's more than enough. Unfortunately because of its location in Grand Central it's often mobbed by the after work subburban crowd, which can make it both loud and inhospitable. Also the drinks aren't cheap (but the bar tenders are excellent and the selction very good). Additionally t's nearly impossible to go to during the winter holiday season as its booked constantly with corporate parties. Go late or go on weekends. It's one of New York's hidden gems, but you have to be prepared for the aggravation factor.
