Nothing about this place says soul. For starters, the waitstaff and service is horrible. I took my mother there for her birthday on Sunday, 4/27/03. The restaurant opened at 3pm. I got there at 3pm, were one of the 1st group there. The wait to be seated was apprx. 15 minutes. Placed our orders for appetizers and entrees at 3:30 (appetizers and food came 1hr. 15 minutes later! The jerk chicken was charred and way to spicy; sent it back because I was dissatisfied and the 2nd batch of 4 wings were way under cooked. The portions were not complimentary to the prices (side dishes $4). There was only one waitress to attend the entire place (Dee, thank you) so that slowed the service up tremendously. The blueberry pancakes were good, however, there is a lot of "stuff" going on in Paje', but it's definitely not soul or the food.
Pros: Catchy Name, Nice wall paintings, Blueberry pancakes
Cons: Food quality/$$, Small Dining area, Terrible service
