Cari's great on an individual level. I loved my solo sessions with her, and my husband did as well. But her skills as a marriage therapist aren't as strong. I found her too willing to accommodate my husband's emotional abuse, treating it as a communication problem or cognitive issue. And while I know both of those come into play in an emotionally abusive relationship, she did not work with either of us on establishing or respecting boundaries. See her if there's stuff you want to work on by yourself, especially if you have trauma issues. She's really fantastic in that regard. Pros: Good with individual patients Cons: Too accommodating of dominating partner in couples
