Review content:
Beware of this clinic. This office is run in complete and utter chaos. My wife and I were having trouble conceiving children and went to Johns Hopkins fertility center for help. We were treated by the doctor who heads the department and therefore expected superior results. We saved $50,000 which we intended to spend on invitro even if our insurance didn't cover it. You would think for that kind of money that we would be treated decently but our experience was the exact opposite. We were told our first visit would cost $250 but we were billed for $600. The doctor told us something was wrong and sent us for numerous tests. We were told it could even possibly be life threatening. We did everything he told us to do. When we called for our tests results nobody would talk to us. We had so many questions and were left in the dark. Nobody answers the phone. It always goes to voice mail. If you leave a message they don't return your call. If you call repeatedly and wait for days by the phone you eventually get a return call. Then the person tells you they can't answer the questions and to call someone else and the cycle starts over. One time they told us we had to speak to the doctor and that he would call between 7AM- 7PM the next day. (12 hours) We took off work and stayed near the phone all day waiting for his call which never came! The following day when we were at work a nurse called and told us the doc was unwilling to call us and to get the test results we would have to book another $600 appointment. When you try to make an appointment, you don't get a person only voice mail again. It took FOUR hours of calling to book the appointment. The closest appointment was 4 weeks away. It's been months since our tests have been completed and we still haven't been told anything. Go to University of Maryland before you call Johns Hopkins fertility Center. It's been a horrible ordeal. Pros: The doctors have amazing credentials Cons: This place needs a case manager. Nobody responsible to speak to in the office
