This place is a hidden gem right next to the State House. Super-friendly waitstaff (Cy, the bartender, remembered me AND my drink after one time!) and very laid back, cozy tavern-type atmosphere. I've been here a couple times by myself & always ended up meeting someone interesting to talk to. Outgoing & unusual crowd mix - everyone from politician's & after work prof's., to local residents and a smattering of suffolk students hang out here - all just looking to enjoy themselves. Some article on the wall says JFK used to write speeches here - if they served the same lunch specials as they do now, I can see why it was his favorite hangout! I'll definitly be back. Pros: super friendly staff, great sandwiches, laid-back crowd Cons: , only night parking, can get crowded
