Review content:
I also attempted to apply for a position with Flex Staff. I also was not treated with courtesy and respect. I could barely inquire about available jobs without the answer being ""NO"". I believe that someone should contact someone regarding their discrimination against hiring minorities. I also wonder how many minorities have applied and actually gotten hired. When I called the first thing that she asked me for was my social security number. I thought that it was odd. I have applied for several position and when I called before I actually went to the company and none of them ever asked for my social security number before asking me my name. If a minority can not find work then they are not able to support their families like the majority can. The scale is definitely not equal. I also applied at R Sabee, and even though I had three years of manufacturing experience the interviewer said that she was looking for someone with more experience ( The look she gave me when I walked through the door suggested to me that I was not going to get the job). I applied at ABR and asked for an interview and I have not received any feedback. The job wanted you to have manufacturing experience and I do, but as of yet, They can not even schedule an interview. I applied online at Sears and was given a time and date for an interview and when I got there they told me that they did not have a person to interview me. I also have not received a call back. I have a coworker that works for Sears and he told me that ""He noticed that not one African American works there"". I also told him what happened and he stated that ""He was not happened surprised"". I know that I have more experience and education then he has but I could not get someone to interview my when I walked in the door. P.S I have Three years Manufacturing experience, Three years security experience . I graduated with an associates with Honors and I am A honor student in her Last year of school towards a Bachelors Degree and I can't get a job making over $10.00 an hour. I have a clean and clear driving record and has never been convicted of a crime. I do believe that I have the disadvantage of being a minority so my family and I will never have what the majority has because of my color.
