My wife and I picked a very simple design for our wedding cake that included ribbons around the bottom of each teir and small frosting beads on the sides of the cake. We bought white roses to go on the top teir of the cake, which were delivered by the florist to the reception site. Months before the wedding the bakery had us purchase our own ribbon for the cake a few doors down from the bakery. When the cake arrived at our reception it was completely undecorated. It had no ribbon, no beads, no smooth layer of frosting. The ""pizza"" cardboard discs were obvious and protruding inbetween each tier. It looked like they completely forgot about the cake because it obviously was hours away from completion. My wife was very upset with the condition of the cake and the bakery was unavailable to remedy the situation. It was so bad that we were embarassed to have pictures taken of the cake and for everyone to watch the cake cutting. I wish I could include a picture with this review just to show how ridiculous the cake appeared in its ""finished"" state. When we called the next day about the cake the management was rude and unwilling refund the cost of the cake. Eventually they did agree to refund the money.
