Review content:
It's taken me a while to do this, but I thought it was important to finally sit down and write a positive review for Diamonds Chicago. I mean, they really deserve it. It would be rude of me not to... As should be obvious by now from all the other reviews, Carlee is a force to be reckoned with. Having read a thousand different things about diamonds before going in to get that all important ring, I thought I might have some idea of what I was doing. I was wrong. Thankfully Carlee knew what I was doing and helped me figure out what I was doing. By the time I walked out of there I felt like a diamond snob! She showed me how to find imperfections in diamonds, not to take carats so seriously and not to put so much importance on things that, when it comes right down to it, aren't that important to finding a beautiful diamond. The thing that really makes them super awesome in my book is that I had a very specific setting in mind for the engagement ring. Diamond in the middle, opals on either side...but what I didn't realize when deciding I wanted that, is that opals are an incredibly hard stone to match. Carlee made some calls to her preferred opal friends and we proceeded to go on a 3 hour journey trying to find the perfect stones. When one place wasn't open, she tried another. When that one didn't have the stones we needed, she tried another. And she didn't give up the opal search until I got what I wanted. She very easily could have just told me to settle for any old stones that would fit in the ring. But she made certain I had exactly the right color and size and at the end of the day the ring turned out perfect. It was wonderful having someone be so patient and take so much of their day to dedicate just to making my ring. So I'm now engaged and my fiancee loves her ring and everyone that sees it says it's absolutely beautiful...because it is. It's a labor of love, and it's all thanks to Diamonds Chicago! They rock!
