So I recently moved into these apartments and wish I didn?t. Besides being ridiculously priced for the size and location, there were several other things that should?ve warned me not to move here. After being constructed probably a year or more ago, the leasing office is still in a trailer. Not sure when the construction will be done (could be another year at this rate). The gym still has no TVs, there is not enough guest parking in the garage (maybe 10 spots total), and my apartment which I pay $1,000 a month for has zero storage. For these so called luxury apartments, there is no pantry, no linen closet, no bathroom storage, and no shelving. When I asked them to put up shelves in the closet where all they had to do was put up a couple boards, they refused. The leasing manager, who gave me tons of attitude, and claimed they had a waiting list for the apartments (even though I highly doubt that there would ever be a waiting list for apartments here or anywhere in Dallas), agreed that personally she thought they should put them up, but because of corporate, they couldn?t. Really, you can?t put up 3 shelves in the closet where there is already the space and holes for them? Richdale (the company that owns these apts) is horrible. They will nickel and dime you for everything (there is a $500 deposit). The apt I moved into was vacant and I had asked to move in a day earlier than my lease and they wanted to charge me at these so-called ?luxury apts.? My previous apartments had never charged me for a day or 2 to move in early. Another thing that really solidified my opinion about the office staff and Richdale management is that I was lied to about being the first resident in my apartment. I was told I would be the first resident in this apartment, the first one to use the toilet, blah blah blah. The leasing agent even proceeded to empty my ice box several times (as you would do if it was a brand new refrigerator). When I went to use the washing machine, it had detergent stains already, so I was a little taken aback by that and low and behold, I find out several days after moving in that nope I wasn?t the first person to live there. How?d I find out? I dialed my apt number from the call box to see if it would dial my cell phone, but it didn?t?it went to some other guy?s phone who proceeded to tell me he lived there for 6 months. Hmmm I should?ve asked why he only lived there for 6 months when the minimum lease is 12? All in all, I saw the apt before I moved in and after my experiences with the leasing office I should not have moved here.
