Review content:
I have been having chronic pain and headaches for years. My official diagnosis was fibromyalgia, however, I failed to respond to any of the medication offered. Additionally I had migraines regularly for years and had been on several different medications for those as well, some helped but nothing really "fixed" the problem. I had been to PT, had spinal injections and seen other chiropractors. I got some temporary relief but the pain always came back within a few days. Dr. Burns sat down and reviewed all my films and records with me. He spent at least an hour going over my history and discussing what had been somewhat effective and what didn't work at all. When he reviewed my MRI, he thought there was a problem at the base of my skull at the OA/AA joint (where my skull sits on my spine) and ordered a 3-d CT Scan. He was able to document the fact that I had an abnormality at the OA/AA joint, started a treatment plan to fix it and within a few days, my migraines were gone, I have had some minor flare ups but they have been months apart and are easily managed with a "tune up". Additionally the symptoms of fibromyalgia are significantly improved as well. He has basically given me my life back.
