Businiess name:  Lagoon Cinemas
Review by:  Mark L.
Review content:
Although not as glamorous as its big brother, the Uptown, the Lagoon Theater is a prime destination for independent and foreign cinema in the Twin Cities. The Lagoon is owned by Landmark Theatres, so expect to spend some serious money to catch a film. A date for two will set you back at least $30 bucks. The Lagoon is one of the locations for the Twin Cities international film fest and offers better sound and projection than either Oak Street Cinema or Bell Auditorium. The interior decoration is cheesy, but at least they tried. You don’t need a ticket to use the bathroom (upstairs in the lobby), so keep the Lagoon in mind when your stuck in uptown and really have to go. Don’t park in the lot next to the theater; they charge exorbitant rates. Seek out street parking a few blocks west on Humboldt.
