Chunky's in Pelham is not your average movie theater. Instead of small, tightly packed sloped seats, there are large, comfortable leather chairs taken from limousines. The floor is flat, but there are generally no problems of not being able to see beyond the people in front of you. But most unlike other theaters, Chunky's has a full pizza and pub-food menu, including beer and wine. If that's not enough, matinees are only $4.50 and evening shows are $6.50. Most movies are current but may have completed their first runs in major theaters. One key drawback: the acoustics are less than desirable.
