New Beginnings Church is a non-denominational church. The services are contemporary. They show the worship words on the overhead on the wall. They offer AWANAs for the kids. Currently they meet in Kennedy High School but the main office is over by Lindale Mall. There is youth groups for several ages. They also have small groups that meet regularly as well. You can easily get connected here.

Free Bird Gallery is located just minutes north of Cedar Rapids. It is worth the drive out there. I’ve met the owner and she is really nice. She has been doing what she does for around 25 years. The outside of this place is decorated neatly. But you do need to go in. She does a lot of custom framing. Plus soaps, flower arrangements, pretty dresses, knickknacks, posters, artwork. You just need to check it out for yourself.

The building has been newly remodeled and quiet easy to locate what you want.

There is a street back there to other small businesses that I normally would miss since it is a dead end street. There is limited parking. Joy is a neat shop with an assortment of women’s clothing and accessories. Stop and browse. The employees are very helpful.
