My wife made me an appointment yesterday to go to this dentist due to I had a tooth break off on one side. As soon as I got there they started rushing me back to be checked. I was still filling out paper work and had not even been looked at and they made me pay them right then so they could CLOSE out their paper work.
Then the doctor looks at my tooth and says it needs a root canal and crown and that i also had two more teeth that needed the same.
Then he leaves me and the office manager takes me in a room and shows me it would cost me with them approx. $7,000 for one tooth and then that for each of the other teeth!!. I told them I did not have dental insurance and I told him I just paid $75 and they had not done anything to help me with the chipped tooth and that the other two only needed to be refilled. He was as pushy as a used car sellsman!! He didnt want to take I didnt have that kind of money for nothing! I kept telling him I could not afford $7,000 for a tooth or even $21,000 for 3.
So I told him to just pull the tooth and he kept refuseing to do that till finally he said he would but wanted anyother $185 on top of the $75 for a total of $260 just to pull a tooth!
I left and went to another dentist today and he is doing the chipped tooth for only $185 and I wont loose it. This other dentist said I did not need a root canal and any of the three teeth and that for $355 he would fix all three of them!
