My experience with Stone Oak Jewelers was very positive. Mike helped me to find a nice watch for my father in law and while I was there someone came in and sold some old broken jewelry to Dan. I was surprised because I didn't know they did this. As it turns out I've acquired a little box of broken gold pieces from chains to rings and even a coin that was given to me and was the start of my collection of scrap gold. So I came back with my metals and Dan weighed them all and gave me a SURPRISING bid: 2,675.00 from scraps of gold over the last 40 years - HOLY COW BATMAN, I couldn't believe it but i played it cool and took the money :-) while I acted like that was what I was expecting :-) secretly giggling like a little school girl on the inside. I'd damn sure do it again, if only I had more gold.
