If you need a great tasting and beautiful dessert for a shower, I highly recommend going to Alpen Rose. I typically order the English trifle which is a cake with a very light frosting that is covered with fruit--strawberries, kiwi, mandarin oranges, etc. It is just sooo good and has a light/refreshing taste..which I like. Also, their Sunday brunch is the best in town...a little pricey but worth it!
