Horrible, horrible, horrible 10/10/2011

We went there over the weekend just to look since we were in that area for business. We let them know up front that we were JUST looking since my bank was in the process of reviewing my application. We ended up with this screwball named Steve Wilson, or something to that effect. I said that I just wanted to LOOK at a small car that I pulled up on my phone. He wouldn't budge to look for it, and basically tried to make me buy a Malibu that was falling apart. I think they were trying to get rid of it quickly. He kept pressuring us to test drive it, so we did. What could it hurt? After all, we had just told him that we were JUST LOOKING. During the test drive, panels were falling off inside the car, locks weren't working, and floor runners were popped out of place. He acted so surprised and said "it wasn't like this the other day," and proceeded to try to shove panels back into place. He was actually making it worse. Once the test drive was over, he had the audacity to ask us if we were taking this car home today. He must have been really dense. We asked if there was something that could be done about the locks not working and the panels falling off. I don't know who this guy thinks he is, but he actually said "Well are you buying today? I can't give you that information if you're not going to buy it. Besides, that's why we have a low price due to those problems." Really? Didn't we just establish that those problems "were not there the other day." What happened? You could tell he came up with that load of BS during the test drive. He got angry and began talking down to us. Who does business like that? Needless to say, I took my money elsewhere...where prices don't magically adjust themselves during the test drive. more
