My husband and I had a great experience at Mango Restaurant, which features Peruvian cuisine, when we forayed into South County to go to our jewelers, MSG (see my review on them - they're awesome!). Mango is in the same strip mall as they are, and I would definitely return. The meal started with homemade chips and salsa, and apparently Peruvians are big on lime and cilantro, which is just great with me. I had the beef stew, and my husband had a fabulous plate of grilled chicken (again with lime and cilantro, very tangy) and herbed potatoes and tomatoes. My beef was also very flavorful and spicy, although the accompanying rice and beans were sort of bland. I prefer the Brazilian style of rice and black beans, and these were white beans. But overall it was an excellent experience, and very good for the price.
