Never, ever buy veggies anywhere else but here. Their selection is outstanding and always just as fresh as if you picked it yourself and their prices will amaze you. There's no overhead here and so they don't need to charge you $2.50/lb for tomatoes.
They have an amazing selection of fresh meat and dairy products as well, and herbs, spices and other 'novelties' are SO inexpensive here. The thing I love the most is their Sun Dried Tomatoes---normally they run you $5.00 for a tiny little jar of them in the store, but you can get them for SO cheap here, and they're fresh and not smothered in oil and SO inexpensive.

Well, you had to pay to get in which kind of cheesed me off because it's not like they're strapped for cash or anything.
Then you get in and see a whole bunch of old tin signs and stuff like that, and then that's it. You exit through the gift shop (of course) and that's that. The only cool thing about it is that there's an area where you can sample coke products from around the world. There's some place in South America that has a pineapple coke or something. I don't know. I was so bored that by the time I got to the free drink (in dixie cup) part, I was delirous

I would highly reccomend this upscale club when visiting Myrtle Beach. Helps if you have a friend who's a member because that may be the only way you can get it. Nice views, terrific staff, incredible buildings.
Tres expensive compared to other strand clubs, but it's worth the money and if you have to ask how much it costs, you probably can't afford it.
Wonderful catering and food services as well

My daughter and son-in-law took me to Westlake Center the first time I visited SEattle and WOW! What a place. It's right in the middle of downtown and has a huge fountain area across the street and a large pedestrian area in front of it. There's always people milling about and passing out flyers for this and pamphlets for that.
The stores are great and rather up-scale, and the food court is HUGE. I've never seen anything like it. There must be literally 50 different food stands there that range from everything from hamburgers to hot-dog-on-a-stick to Indian to Cajun--they even have Mongolian BBQ!

The Green Dragon, I think, has been around for ages. My daughter was friends with the son of the owner, but I was shopping there long before they knew each other.
They have a very large selection of fantasy items, D&D, RPG, tarot, occult, wiccan, etc, merchandise, books, clothing, jewelry---pretty much all the "neat" stuff that no other place in Charleston will carry (of course, this is not to be a surprise since we are in the "Bible Belt" and "Holy City").
Great store, right next to Northwoods Mall, nice staff and huge selection. Highly highly reccomended

The Ice Palace is great, but the one bad thing is that they don't have very long open-skate hours for the public. It's not terribly expensive to get in, but it's not necessarily cheap either (can't remember prices), and you only get an hour and a half to skate and then they scrape time off the middle because the zamboni has to re-zamboni the ice.
I didn't think the atmosphere was very friendly and the staff had no problems allowing older, more experienced teenager skaters run rampant around families with little kids who were taking it slow and being mindful to try to stay out of everyone's way.

Earthling is still a great place to go and get a spa treatment, although other newer and more innovative companies have opened in the last few years. I enjoy their staff, who are always friendly and seem really interested in you and your needs.
Every time I go there I seem to get more of a massage than I paid for, which is great---no complaints on that end, but try not to schedule something for RIGHT after your massage because you may be getting out a few minutes later than you planned on.
Also, once when I was getting a massage, the masseuse asked if I wanted them to pluck my eyebrows, and I said "sure". SHe told me it would be $24, and I thought that was for both brows---nope, that's PER brow. So that was definitely a shock to my system when I was told I had to pay $50 for an eyebrow treatment that was really spur of the moment.
Oh well, learn from my mistakes.

He is a kind, compassionate man and highly reccomend him to anyone seeking vetrinary services. I know that at one time he did house-calls but not sure if he does that anymore. All of my animals are seen by Dr. Berger and I would have it no other way. Also, my daughter used him when she and her husband lived out here.

Pretty generic selection of music. Don't go here if you want something that's relatively obscure or old. Definitely no out-of-print music here. Sometimes have a decent selection of imports and boxed sets, sometimes not. If you want really good music and a really good music store, go for something a bit more independent like Manifest

Oh, how you can be reminded of your impending age (and unfettered uncoolness) when you walk into a store like Granny's Goodies (that is, if you're over 25).
I don't understand how something from 1975 can be 'retro'--wasn't 1975 just like....a few years ago?
At any rate, Granny's Goodies has great stuff for the retro-loving kid who thinks (snicker) that the Brady Bunch wore COOL CLOTHES (heh), or great for you to walk down memory lane and realize just how old and out of touch you are. I find this to be a great source for halloween costumes. They have just about everything from pre-1990. Even really old things---I saw a dress I swear my mother wore to her prom in 1955....go figure!
