Everyone who has even a casual interest in music knows that Amoeba is the best. You need a bit of patience to shop this place, but you're pretty much guaranteed to find a deal on a cd that you've been wanting to add to your collection. And be bareful, you might lose yourself in there.

I'm sure you can read about current expositions online, so why don't I tell you what you can find around the Center. Just north of Exposition Park is USC, which has also been the scene of numerous location shoots. I go to USC and I love that it's located right next to Science Museum. The rose garden around the area is relaxing and wonderful. Bunch of large aircraft propped up around the Center look futuristic and cool. The patio in front of the Science Center is also photogenic. As for insides, Science Plaza, ExploraStore and Discovery Rooms will surely entertain your kids and give you a day, full of joy and wonders.

The place really has gone downhill. I have been a southern California resident my entire life and used to enjoy going to Dodger Stadium. Now, it's a nightmare! Stadium is always jammed. Friday night games now have a shuttle but I don't know if it is helping much. The seats are always broken.
Still, there's a all-American spirit every time i go. I do know that it's is a difficult place to get in and out of and that the seats are old and decrepit but the sight lines are great, the field is perfect and really, it is about seeing the game. ...peanut shells, drunks and traffic aside:)

Well... the outdoor part was very disappointing guess my kids are too creative to enjoy a couple of humongous plastic dinosaurs dying in a pit. The inside of the museum, however, was quite an experience. It is well worth visiting if you are interested in science, especially paleontology, or if you want to learn something about L.A. besides the standard Hollywood tourist traps. I still would recommend The Museum of Jurassic Technology on Venice Blvd. at Bagley, which is a parody of a Victorian natural history museum over La Brea Tar Pits.

I used to have dreads - I went to Sugar, my favorite Silver Lake salon. I chopped them off and was left with virtually no hair – I headed to Sugar. I then went blond – and again Sugar Salon helped me out. I must admit, I love that place.
Mayo from Hairpolice does most amazing dread maintenance. She had a baby last year and now is a one happy momma.
Adriana will make you smile when you look in the mirror. In fact, you’ll be happy the moment you see her – I haven’t yet met a more cheerful, sweet and optimistic styler.
The owner, Tommy Carmanico (formerly of Jonathan), will offer you most needed personal-grooming session and you know immediately you can trust this guy – he’s got vision and he's not afraid to do crazy stuff.
And that all, my friends, will come to you for a mere $40 (Tommy) or $25 (Adriana) for a haircut, $50 color and $50/hr dread maintenance. What else exemplifies cool, unpretentious stylists and of course, great hair, if not Sugar?
