Ryan's is an institution in Chattanooga and the recent remodeling at the Hixson location gives you a good idea why. You are almost immediately shown to a table and you can eat until your stomach feels like it is about to pop.
The restaurant does have different specialties each night, like ribs one night, seafood the next, etc. but you can always count on the food being hot and fresh.
Kids under three eat free and this is a very kid-friendly place. We never have to worry about nasty looks from other diners when we take our children here.
You won't get anything gourmet but you will get plenty of hearty food at a very affordable price.
