Make sure when you go to Philadelphia, you read the signs if you able to park at a certain location or not. Philadelphia Parking Authority (PPA) agents are very sneaky and are considered aliens to Philadelphians. Please do not park at a handicap sign, it might cost you around $300 for parking at a handicap spot. PPA agent sometimes wait next to your car until the meter expires and start writing ticket instantly. They are also known for writing tickets before they even get to your car while you are sitting in your car. One secret is that they are allowed to void a ticket if they are in a good mood. It takes them to use their walkie talkie to get approval. But knowing these people who look annoyed all the time you might want to give them a compliment before you ask them to void the ticket. Many have told me that when they go down to 12 and Filbert Streets to pay for ticket, PPA agents are waiting to write you another ticket while you are paying your ticket. more
