I went looking for a bike with value and quality in mind. I decided Bikes on Howard could serve up both. I always try to purchase everthing local regardless of price because my community needs all the help it can get.I feel customer service both during and after the sale is more important than the price. A good relationship between customer and sales is very important especially in a small community, especially when selling to a local customer. I had a less than favorable experiance with Bikes on Howard when I bought my bike. I was misled as to the cost of accessories at time of purchase. They were supposed to be 10% off with the purchase of the bike but as it turns out you need to purchase the bike first and then the accessories to get the discount. Then to top it off I was charged to put on the trivial accessories that I did buy. When I approached the sales people about the situation, I tried to express that my concern was not the$5-$6 the 10% off would have earned me but the fact that the bike that I just purchased from them didnt earn me the simple 15- 20 min. install of my before mentioned accessories that I purchased from them. I was met by a very immature and unprofessional reaction from them. NOT VERY GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Frankly, I was surprised and will probably never do business with either of them again!!! more
