Taylor's Automatic Refresher has been around for 50 years or so and is a genuine 50's drive through, without the cars. You walk up to the outside window (there is no indoor seating at all) and you order your burger and fries, topped with a Double Rainbow blueberry milkshake (the world's finest!) and then they grill it up for your right there and shout your name, or they put your order into the little red wagon and bring it out to you at the picnic tables surrounded by expansive and beautiful green lawn. Taylor's costs a bundle, but it's ALWAYS hopping with locals and tourists and positioned right on Hwy 29 a few blocks before you enter downtown Saint Helena, population 12. (Okay, I admit it's higher than 12, but it's still a very small city!!) The place is a must-see for visitors to the Napa Valley. Truly, you will never forget the milkshakes.
