Okay, so its not in the best neighborhood, but the campus is absolutely beautiful. I have spent all day wandering around the grounds. Heritage hall, where you can see all the heisman trophies USC football players have won, is not something you'd want to miss. The bookstore is also a lot nicer than most bookstores at schools. My favorite part among all the buildings is the gargoyle that is thumbing his nose at USC rival UCLA. I'm not sure what building it's on, but its always a good laugh. The school is great too, as I have a lot of friends and family that went there and are doing great in their current careers.

The Southwest museum is dedicated to the Native Americans from all over. I love looking at all the artwork and learning how the native americans lived both before and after the Europeans came over....
The Southwest museum is dedicated to the Native Americans from all over. I love looking at all the artwork and learning how the native americans lived both before and after the Europeans came over. There's usually a lot of schools there on, so later in the day/early morning may be your best time to visit. Its situated right off the 110 Freeway, so sometimes traffic can be a pain. But this museum is definitely worth it.

Than you will enjoy this museum. Its located right near the LA zoo, so its not too difficult to find. There's a lot to see at the museum, as well as Gene Autry's history. I never really appreciated the museum until I was older, so I wouldn't recommend this for the younger kids. It is a really nice museum, and it wasn't too expensive compared to other museums in the LA area.

my favorite part of this zoo is the two headed rattlesnake. I hate snakes, but have decided that this snake is the coolest ever. It doesn't compare to the San Diego zoo, but its still a nice place to go for the day. Its better to go during the week, but you may come across a bunch of kids there on a school field trip. The food is expensive, but what else do you expect from an amusement park. would recommend just for the two headed rattle snake.

Whenever I took film classes in school, my professors always recommended going to Kensington video. even though it is smaller compared to the bigger chains out there, you'll always be able to find what you need here. This was always at the top of my professors lists, especially for those hard to find shakesphere films that my professor required for one of my classes.

I've been to a majority of the missions in California, but the san luis rey mission is my favorite. Its huge! There is a lot to see at the mission, and you could spend hours just wandering through...
I've been to a majority of the missions in California, but the san luis rey mission is my favorite. Its huge! There is a lot to see at the mission, and you could spend hours just wandering through the grounds. The mission itself is rather spectacular and is the largest mission (from what I can recall) in all of California. Its not in the middle of a busy city, so you really feel you're in the middle of "nowhere." I highly recommend this mission if you're doing a tour of California or a tour of the missions.

I have visited the Santa Clara mission a few times, and I'm always interested in how this mission is right in the middle of Santa Clara university, especially after going to the parties around the school. Its an interesting mission with nice gardens, including the rose garden where you can be fined $500 if you trespass. A little known fact that I found out from my friend that went there....the Native American burial ground is now below one of the parking structures at the school. Dunno if that's true or not, but seems a bit odd to me.

I have never attended a service, however parking is very hard to come by, especially if you do not get there early. They offer multiple services on Sundays. Its odd to see a mission in such a busy area in Mission Valley, but its still nice to have a little piece of history in the middle of the city.

They do offer delivery, since it can be hard to pick up what you need in your car. The prices are a bit steep, but you are receiving nothing but quality wood for all your wood burning needs. You can also pick up the wood when you need it, but your car/truck may get messy.

This is a pretty good tree trimming company. They will give you the estimate the same day, which is a very detailed estimate, and they have a friendly staff. They will haul everything away and are very reasonable in their pricing. The con is that it can take a while to get someone out there to do the estimate, especially during the busier seasons.
