Orange County School of Dance in Monroe, NY is a caring and amazing place where dancers of all ages can find a home and quality instruction. I am 45 and a retired professional dancer trained in classical ballet and who studied with Maria Tallchief, Bernice Holmes and was a member of the world class Hubbard Street Dance theatre for seven years. I still dance as much as I can, and I love to take Joanna's adult classes.
In my experience, Joanna Markowitz is the only instructor in the lower Orange County area who offers quality, caring instruction. She has a wide dance vocabulary which includes ballet, modern, jazz, ballroom and a lot more if she had time in her busy schedule to share it with us. Although I do not have children myself, Joanna is the only teacher in the area that I would trust their dance training too. Above all, what makes Joanna the best teacher in the area is her caring and dedication to her students of all ages.
