okay for americanized chinese food 12/31/2009

Ok- my first boyfriend was chinese. His mother cooked for us all of the time, (she was an excellent cook- authentic). She made sweet & sour and, unlike this restaurant's version, it was not bright red like a clown's nose. This restaurant's version even stained my toddler's hands. The broccoli chicken had no flavor, and the cashew chicken had fatty pieces of ""chicken"" all through out, (at least it had some flavor, although). I tried calling to speak to someone, at 9:10 pm- (they say they are open until 9:30 today) but Lou answered and said to call back tomorrow, (it wasn't his fault, he had a pretty thick accent, but it would be nice to speak with someone about this when they are supposed to be open). My sister owned a restaurant, I know it sucks, but part of ownign a restaurant is being open when you say in order to try and fix any problems.I called tonight, (next day), and the lady was, at least, not argumentative. When I told her about the food, she said, ""next time you order from us, I will try and make it taste better"". But, usually you say something like, ""we can replace the food for something else right now that taste's to your liking, instead"" . I wouldn;t order from them again, w/o knowing for sure that they really could cook good food. Anyway, if you are ok with americanized chinese, then it is okay. Pros: fast service, people seem nice enough Cons: food not the best, confusing prices more
