I was a client of Malina's for years and she always does a great job. She is super sweet and friendly, and always listens to what you want. The owner is great - the first time I went there I had an issue with a miscommunication with a different stylist (not there anymore), and the owner (""Rohanna"" I think), was perfectly accomodating. Ohm offers free bangs trims in-between cuts, which is very convenient. I have been super sad to leave Ohm, but the only reason I am not going there anymore is that I am a student and I just can't afford it anymore :-( I will miss you Ohm!
Pros: great stylists & colorists (Malina & Farzaneh are great), no sales pressure, great neighborhood - shops/coffee/pinkberry!
Cons: a bit pricey ($90 for single process color - i have longer hair), but I guess typical for trendier LA salons
