The most enjoyable coffee shop i have been to in quite some time. The workers are always full of personality and friendly, the atmosphere is not too trendy, not to mention the computers and wireless internet are a huge plus. I'd recommend it as a Study Place for the many students in the area. OH, and the coffee is fabulous, never watery and not burnt tasting like star bucks, and their prices are so reasonable, i always tip (for all the other reasons as well.) The owners are actively involved in the Business, often working behind the counter.

Everyone that has lived in Gainesville has been to Maudes. Good hot drinks, huge desserts and a casual atmosphere to meet friends brings people to this cafe.
You can listen to a jazz band, play board games with friends, chat or people watch on the downtown streets.
The laid back atmosphere unfortunately extends to the staff. Don't expect quick service. Oddly enough, this well known fact is part of the charm that is Maude's.

I actually went here 2 nights ago, to see a rock show by a band that i know personally, and the lighting in the place is pretty good, they have all the fancy pantzy stage show lights and they place the music nice and loud like we like it here in the dirty south. i have not been to a better local rock club here in gainesvile. the only thing bad is all the smokers gathered in one area, but thats what clubs are all about, cant really get around that.

I am a fortune teller and so when I looked into my bubble tea the other day, I saw that I had made the right decision to go to Bubble Tea 88. The service was absolutely fab. I even offered my psychic services to the manager. What I saw in his bubble tea was great many more successes in his bubble tea business. That place is awesome. I'll keep on going back to get my bubble tea. I especially like the green leaf and carrot flavors. That are chilly and smooth. I'm riding high now.

i can't say i'm a great fan of the starbucks culture we all seem to be living in and amongst these days. not the best i've tried. the price is just ridiculous to me for 1 cup of coffee that should taste so much better for that price! you might as well go there and get a cup of water. it's not that great. but if you love starbucks, go ahead and try some here. you'll probably enjoy it.
