I had no idea the Outback Steakhouse in Sandy was so popular. We got there at 6:30 on a Friday night and the wait was already an hour. We had called ahead to get on the seating list, which ended up cutting our wait down to about 20 minutes. \r

The waiting area inside is pretty small. We were there in mid-October, and luckily on a night that was warm enough to wait outside, but if you?re going in the middle of winter, you may want to take that into consideration.\r

The food wasn?t the best I?ve had but it wasn?t the worst, and for a large restaurant chain it was about what you?d expect. Our server was attentive & charming and all in all it was a nice night out.\r

Upside: Friendly wait-staff, tasty (for large-restaurant-chain quality) food. A little on the salty side, but for my salt-loving fiance that?s more of an incentive than a deterrent. \r

Downside: The waiting area inside is so small that once we were seated, the ?overflow? from the waiting area was more or less right next to our table, which made it feel a little?crowded.
