We had confirmation by email for two nights for a room with two beds.\r
They took two nights fee from our credit card.\r
Upon returning the second night about 11 pm we discovered our key cards would not work.\r
The embarrassed clerk said they made an error and resold our room.\r
They were sold out and had no more with two beds.\r
We waited outside until about 1 am for our belongings removed from our room.\r
I am 63 and a diabetic and we had to leave about 4 am.\r
I was extremely tired and frustrated. \r
She promised to ship them prepaid freight Monday when they had the full crew.\r
She also promised to call me if they could not be located.\r
These belongings were like new, worn only one time. and in one neat bag.\r
There is no chance they could have appeared to have been junk.\r
After one full week I called and reached the same girl.\r
She said she could not call us as someone had removed the note with our phone number from the wall.\r
At that point I believe nothing they have said.\r
Our phone numbers were on the emailed confirmation,\r
and on the sign in card we had to get our room when we paid for the two nights.\r
Cooperate Headquarters in Texas say it is their policy Not To Do Anything to replace personal belongings.\r
You have to sign that to get your room.\r
It is in fine print.\r
I do feel we should be responsible for our own items if the room is broken into.\r
But they are the ones that mistakenly removed our items when the room was already paid for another day.\r
I feel they are responsible for what happens to them from then until they are returned to us.\r
I stringly feel it was one of their own employees that received our belongings.\r
Or at the least that left them where someone else could.\r
I even understand our room being resold in error and they're being sold out.\r
But they should replace our belongings.\r
I used them for fifty year faithfully.\r
I no longer trust them or agree with their policy of doing nothing even for items they took posession of.
Pros: Always loved a simple clean room for a good price!
Cons: Reselling our room I understand. Not replacing our belongings they took into their possession and doing nothing is Not Acdceptable!
