I wasted a lot of money at EpiCenter 1/31/2007

Epi Center Medspa is probably fine for facials, but I don't recommend them for any attempt at permanent hair removal. I have dark hair/ light complexion, the type that's supposed to work optimally for laser hair removal (actually, they use LightSheer IPL). After six treatments spaced out over a year and over $1700, it did little better than waxing would have. Within 6-7 months after the last treatment, virtually all the hair returned. On the intake session, they explain that they're going to do ""hair removal"" and that it will permanently remove about 15% of the hair permanently each time, which isn't true... I've since read the FDA says IPL is only ""hair reduction"" and not guaranteed as permanent. In my case it was money down the drain. I'm not saying it doesn't work on some people, and it may be that some systems work better than others (I've since had some done on an Aurora laser, and it seemed to work better with less pain) but what EPI Center promised versus what was delivered was a joke. Moreover, there was no guarantee or program of providing additional treatments until you're satisfied, something that is offered by many of the laser chains.\r \r Just because a place looks slick, don't believe for a second that it will deliver on its promises. Pros: Clean, nice offices Cons: The service they provided was a waste of money more
