I moved to a different part of LA so started looking into yoga studios in my new area. After reading the only citysearch review on Dahn Yoga, ""Nice but Costly"" I checked out Dahn's website & calculated that the cost per class would be comparable to the other places I was considering.\r I called them about taking a class for the first time, thinking they would offer to let me do so for either a single-class fee or even for free (many studios offer this.) I was told I could either try a class or come in for an ""energy evaluation"" but that the evaluation was recommended b/c they could assess my individual strength & flexibility.\r Neither the website nor the person I talked to mentioned any fee so assumed it was complimentary (my mistake.) When I arrived I was charged $29 to spend a half hour doing breathing exercises & a few yoga poses. I was then told my chakras were out of balance & that I had some ""blockages."" He then presented the membership rates which started at $130/month + a $40 non-refundable activation fee.\r He did tell me that as part of my $29 I could try out a first class. I got a weird feeling from it though so I came home & googled Dahn to find reviews other than what I found on this website. I will not be going back. You can form your own opinion by reading what's on the web but I urge you to do so before going in there! more
