This place is hands-down one of the best in the LA area - easily as good if not better than Akbar or Bombay Cafe. The food, service and decor are all outstanding, and the location is a unique little side street off of Lake in Pasadena. The excellent seafood biryani is different than that of Akbar but on an even par and nice and spicy if you want it that way - (I have yet to find an equal to the "Maharajah Biryani" at India House on Morrison in Portland, OR - still searching.) The weekend buffet is similarly excellent, offering dinner-caliber dishes including Chicken Tikka Masala and a Chicken Kadahi dish that tastes for all the world like a fine roast beef! The hospitality here is above and beyond the call - I was given a complimentary Golab Jamun dessert on my first visit. Highly recommended!!!!
