I had a friend whose mother recently passed and they were honoring her at the Disneyland's Grand CA Hotel. I had never been there. It was fabulous. The food served at the banquet was rather interesting with many small courses. Everything was great Disney Style.

First off, I believe alot of people have gotten camelot and family fun center confused. They were two different businesses. Family Fun Center did not make it, however Camelot has. It is very affordable, and fun place to be. The food is excellent, lunch specials are out of this world. There mini golf was on travel channel for top 10, so what does that tell you? I have never had a problem with lazer quest. I have had plenty of birthday/team parties at camelot, and look forward to having many more. Friendly staff that is always willing to help.

This inn is small but big enough for your whole family. The rooms are really nice, they serve a great free continental breakfast, and they have a pool. The breakfast is especailly great because at Disneyland the food is so expensive and you need to save the money. The prices are resonable and it is within walking distance of Disneyland.

At the end of June, we decided on a somewhat spur of the moment trip to Southern California (starting July 6). We generally opt for using priceline to find a cheaper hotel that is a little farther away. This time, however, I wanted to stay somewhere closer...and nicer! It started with a nice reservationist named Ronald telling us of a pretty good deal on a standard room at the resort. When we arrived, however, we actually had Downtown Disney view rooms! Our room had a queen bed with a bunk bed that also had a trundle! Each room comes standard with an infant/toddler playpen.
I was just ecstatic from the moment I walked into the hotel. Not that the registration process is too long, but that have a child's sitting area close by for the kids to sit in and watch Disney movies!
I'm not big on keeping my boys out very late since we usually start our Disney days fairly early! Our rooms were so perfect for this! We headed back to our rooms, got ready for bed, and could then watch the fireworks from our balcony!
There is a direct entrance to California Adventure from the Grand Californian, and only a very short walk to the entrance of Disneyland. The convenience was the best part for me. Not having to drag a tired family to a bus stop to wait an unknown amount of time for a hotel shuttle was fabulous!
The staff was very courteous and attentive. Our oldest boys even participated in a hotel 'treasure hunt' one afternoon that ended with them both getting a huge Mickey Mouse cookie.
Our accommodations were comfortable and ample. One thing to be aware of is the refrigerator. The for sale items inside are electronically monitored, so even if you take something out and then put it right back in, you'll get charged (though I've heard they're good about taking that charge off if you explain it to them!)

This place is great for family because their suite hotels, kitchen and Frig. On Monday and Wednesdays they serve complimentary dinner burgers, hot dogs, and happy hour with beer and wine. I enjoy their complimentary all you can eat breakfast from 6-10am in the morning. They have a free laundry mat and gym. I Highly recommend this place and I have been there multiple times already. The price is reasonable and very close to Disneyland. This place is way better and CHEAPER than staying in the Disney Resorts, because they don't comp you for nothing.

THE closest hotel outside the gates! Clean and comfortable. Friendly helpful staff. Had a family suite with 2 queens and hide-a-bed, perfect for grandma, mom, dad, and 3 kids. Good beds, nice refrigerator and microwave for snacks. Mickey D and Tony Roma down the block. Free breakfast is boring and basic, kids loved the donuts.
Great location to get up early, eat,and get to park at opening to beat the crowds. By 1 we were eating a cheaper better lunch out of the park and going for naps and swims to return in the evening. Car retal in lobby beat the price of my on line van rental to go to Sea World and the beach. Great budget place.
