Two years ago I suffered from dry eyes due to contact lense wearing and the annoyances of not being able to see without jthem. Today, thanks to Supralase, I can see 20/20 and don't have to worry about feeling that dry eye feeling since Supralase doesn't cut your tear nerves like flap procedures (Lasik and Intralase). When I heard that I was sold on a procedure that wouldn't just fix one problem but create another but that would fix my vision without complications down the road.
I had the procedure Friday at 2:00pm and could see well enough to be at work by 7:00am Monday morning.

I have had shoulder problems for the past 2 years. Was seeing another Dr. when my insurance switched me to Dr. Glasson. Immediately I was given a diagnosis my other Dr. had not come across. Within a month I had my surgery complete and am now going through therapy with them. I am seeing graduate progress in the pain in my shoulder and I'm currently regaining my strength. I was afraid the damage was already done, but it seems to have been fixed. Thank you Dr. Glasson and all the therapists!

No one wants a root canal. But when I needed an emergency root canal 2 months before my wedding, my dentist sent me to Dr. Chau. I have never been more thankful.
My root canal was needed in one of the support teeth for my bridgework, so it was a touchy procedure for me. I had been taking every pain killer I could for 2 weeks, never realizing what was wrong, and when he finally gave me the first of FOUR novicaine shots I got the first relief since the pain began.
He gave me the medication and time to relax while finishing up with another patient. By the time he came back, I had fallen asleep in the chair. He was very gentle and asked me several times if I could still feel (I'd had 3 shots at that point). When I said I could feel pressure and a bit of stinging he gave me a fourth shot right in the root.
At my checkup, he said it looked fine and that the bridge would continue to hold even after the root canal.
I hated that I needed a root canal, but I am very glad Dr. Chau was the one who did it. I would recommend him to anyone.

Our first child was born at Sentara Bayside Hospital. I loved the fact that my husband was able to stay the night with me and our newborn. Now that I've given birth in 2 other hospitals, I must say that Sentara Bayside Hospital has the best afterbirth rooms. The rooms are furnished with a fold out couch in which your husband/significant other/friend/parent could spend the night while helping you care for the newborn. Being a mother for the first time, this was a huge help.
The only complaint I had was that a nurse knowingly sent me our baby with soiled diapers. I was glad that I read a lot of books for information about prepregnancy, baby's birth, and postpregnancy because I was unsure of why our baby's stool (meconium) was "strange"--- it was sticky and dark. I guess I wished that she was as caring as other nurses were... in a sense that they're willing to explain things to you if you had a question instead of just leaving the room right away. Otherwise, a great hospital full of friendly doctors and nurses!

Been going here for years. He is very nice AND very thorough. His prices seem a little high for the frames, but the exam is reasonable and they give you a good one. He takes time to talk to you and you don't feel like he's rushing to get you out and on to the next one. His staff isn't the friendliest, kind of stuffed shirt people, but you don't spend that much time with them to give him up as a good optometrist..
PROS: Friendly, thorough
CONS: Not the friendliest staff

My husband had his vision corrected through this location. We were very impressed with the service, and his vision is now better than perfect. The prices were reasonable, and they explained everything in detail of the procedure. The doctor himself called my husband the next day to check on him, which I thought was a wonderful touch. Upon our recommendation, my best friend also chose to have her correction done here, and co-managed on the Eastern Shore, and she to have a wonderful experience. If you are thinking about having corrective surgery, it is definitely worth checking this business out.

My husband has worn glasses all his life and has dreamed of Lasik since they invented it. We knew that it was going to be expensive, but they offered us a free consultation to make sure they could help him. Everyone was so nice and they even recommeneded certain insurance agencies to help us out with payments. He hasn't gotten it done yet, but I will surely update when he does. Excellant eye center and a beautiful building that is easy to get to and plenty of parking.

After having shoulder pain for almost a year, I found a coupon for a $9 initial consult at Great Neck Chiropractor. I called them and was able to get an appt. right away. I felt that Dr. Savvas assessed my needs very well. While extremely professional, he is also very friendly, personable, and makes one feel at ease. He proposed my treatment plan and even got my insurance company to pay for my visits. He did not pressure me the first visit at all. The first visit was strictly a consultation and he left it up to me whether or not to come back again. I decided I would give it a shot. On the second visit I returned and started treatment. The office staff remembered me from the first visit, and made me feel like a valuable person, rather than just a paying customer. They always address me by name, and always seem to be in a great mood. It is a very positive atmosphere in which to be, and the staff seems to work very well together. Pete the masseusse is awesome too! And the treatment? Well, I immediately started to feel better and after only a few adjustments the pain was gone. It does return now and again, but with a quick adjustment (and a wonderful massage), the pain goes away almost immediately. I was the most skeptical person in the world when it came to chiropractic care-we have all heard the jokes. But, I am a true believer in this field of medicine now and would recommend Dr. Savvas to be your chiropractor too!

Dr. King's staff was tremendous. I went in for a check-up and cleaning. I found their practice because they were a preferred provider on my dental insurance plan and the office is close to my home. I did not see Dr. King personally, but another dentist in the office "Nathan" performed a quick and painless filling for me on the spot when we discovered that I had a cavety. He was very personable and the staff as a whole made a dentist visit actually somewhat pleasurable. The cost was very reasonable as my insurance covered most of it.
