Don't waste your time 11/27/2009

Overall this experience was average at best. The best place for seeing sights is the top deck, the sights from the cabinet area was useless. The dinner crusie was $35.50 per person which did not include the $9.00 soft drink. The food selection was good , however only average and at best the service was average. more

GATEWAY CLIPPER FLEET 4/6/2006

I grew up in The Burgh so...it is pretty much a staple for someone to ride on one of the fleet at some point in their lives. I have been to several functions on the gateway clipper boats and never been disappointed. This is a fun evening on the boats. more

A new way to experience the three rivers 3/17/2006

I'm a huge fan of the Gateway Clipper Fleet. I've been on most of the ships, which range from some pretty small vessels to the rightfully named Majestic. The most popular tours are the dinner dance cruises, where you'll sail up and down the rivers while enjoying a buffet and live music. I recommend the Latin American themed nights, when they usually have some pretty awesome salsa band perform. I'd give it 5 stars, but it's not cheap for a night out, and alcohol/blended beverages are very expensive. Overall, though, a really fun night out on the rivers! more

A beautiful evening cruise 10/11/2005

My friends and I booked a dinner cruise on the Gateway Clipper Fleet cruise in Pittsburgh. The food was good, they provided a New Orleans type theme for dinner and had banjo players for entertainment. After dinner the buffet was removed and they made the area into a dance floor. On the decks there are speakers giving historic stories of the city. After the cruise, there are group pictures available to buy as souvenirs. It was a wonderful trip. more

Looking for fun for adults? Try an evening dinner cruise on the majestic. You can dance it up or relax while watching the stars. How about an afternoon on the Good Ship Lollipop with the family? There you will find a informative tour of the city and it's three rivers. Clowns roam the boat and make balloons for the children. Of course, everyone receives a lollipop at the end! more

A nice view of the city 9/26/2005

A remarkable way to view the city, known for the aesthetic appeal of the night skyline. Great views of the two relatively new stadiums are also ensured and are of particular note on game nights. A nice group outing can be provided here, though about 3 hours is plenty of cruising the picturesque three rivers. more

Fun expierence 9/3/2005

Dinner while cruising the waterways of Pittsburgh is a great way to show off the city. Great to do with out of town guests, fun for the whole family. The food isn't the best but certainly not the worst either. It is your average banquet food. But the experience is wonderful and fun. It is a great way to get some of the rare views of the city. more

You might feel trapped... 8/20/2005

The Clippership gives an interesting view of downtown Pittsburgh that you normally would not be able to see. The boat is large enough that you will not become naesueated, but it can seem a bit confining. If you're not having fun, there is no way to leave the ship until it docks. Depending on the length of the trip, this can be a large problem if you have other plans for the night. Drinks and food are average, don't expect anything spectacular (but do expect a high surcharge). more

Much Fun 8/10/2005

We went on the gateway clipper during orientation and boy was it a blast. The DJ kept on playing the latest tracks and dancefloor was packed. The bar on the ship has an okay selection of drinks. Food was not served and by the end of the trip everyone was hungry. Besides that the Gateway Clipper was an awesome experience. more

Fun! 8/5/2005

Our high school prom was on the Gateway Clipper and was so elegant and fun. We had a nice dinner and then a night of dancing. It was very clean and well maintained. Everything was taken care of and I will never forget standing outside under the stars with my best friends! more

America's premier riverboats, presents an unforgettable experience that truly captures the personality of a great river city - Pittsburgh. Their magnificent vessels sail day and night, offering a wide variety of cruises that will let you relax and experience life on the Monongahela, Allegheny and Ohio Rivers. Tours of Pittsburgh rivers. Private cruises available. Sailing year 'round from their Station Square Dock, they can accommodate groups of any size aboard our fleet of climate-controlled riverboats which are fully staffed by their courteous and experienced crews. Highly recommended! We took a night dinner/dancing cruise with the Gateway Clipper and it was a lot of fun. Food was a buffet style and you were served. Cash bar. We also took our son on the Good Ship Lollypop which is a tour for kids. He really enjoyed it and also liked the boat ride...his first! Back in the 90's I was on the Gateway Clipper for awards banquets for King's Family Restaurants. Service was excellent and the food was very good as well! more
