This place has a really good selection of camping supplies. They have heavy duty tents and backpacks, plus all the little things like canteens and gas lanterns. The prices are ok and the selection is outstanding. Plus it's in a great location by the Circle. Check it out.

So if you like reading books but hate corporate book stores that have taken over the country then try Bookman. They have an enormous selection of used books ranging in anything from travel, art, history, politics, cooking, fiction, and everything in between. The prices are pretty reasonable especially if it is a hard to find book or an obscure topic. I once bought a text book for school there for 12 dollars and they were selling it on campus for 75. Then I sold it to my school at the end of the quarter for 30. Good books good deals. The staff is really friendly and I think there is a website for them to look for books before you go there if you are looking for a certain title.

I love the Block, whether you watch the gravity defying stunts at the Vans Skatepark, or go see a movie at the huge theater, there is something for everyone. They have a lot of specialty shops but some old favorites such as Old Navy as well

Plenty of nice things for girls of all ages, at slightly more than the usual cost of items from Claire's Accessories, but still well worth the money for the higher quality merchandise. Also, the store is located in a busy center that offers other things to do after you make a purchase. Recommended.

There are many antique stores in downtown Orange, but this one is one of the originals. Located in several storefronts, you enter through the main door on Glassell. There is a downstairs, but it is operated by a separate firm. The Mall has an upstairs and a main floor that cover three storefronts. Some dealers have been with the mall from the beginning and a few come and go. Great place for just about all types of antiques: Paper, toys, glass, china, jewelry and pottery. They are open a little later than some of the other stores in the Circle area, but only by an hour in the summer. They are also open on the weekends. Parking can be tight in the summer or during local celebrations. Try the city lot around the corner or the streets adjacent to the Circle.

Book Carnival has a wide selection of books. You have heard of hole in the wall restaurants, well this is a hole in the wall bookstore. The people that work for the book store love their job and read a lot of books. They helped me find a book for the summer to read. It was a great choice. Thanks! I thought they were extremely nice to me, but I think they're nice to mostly everyone who shops there. It is a fun and bright place to read books and shop for books.

This bead store (which has been around since 1986) is located on Tustin Avenue in Orange. They claim to have the largest selection of beads in north Orange County and I don't doubt it. The converted house features racks and racks of beads and they give a nice wholesale discount to resellers. Good prices, HUGE selection.

Five Points Sports Cards has a great selection of different sports cards for varying prices. Most of their cards are newer...it would have been nice to see some of the older baseball and basketball cards that are out there, but that is a minor quibble. It is located right off of Tustin Ave., which is a pretty busy area, so it can be hard to spot at first. Whether it is baseball, basketball, football, or hockey cards, Five Points Sports Cards usually has a great selection of the latest cards. It's just disappointing to see how much cards are now compared to ten years ago! Recommended for the regular collector.
